Maurizio Galimberti’s kaleidoscopic gaze has centred on Sicily numerous times, photographing with heightened sensitivity places of complex, symbolic meaning. In his homage to Gibellina, the lyrical geometry of the architectural and urban deconstructions of the new city interacts with a vision of the landscape that arises from the encounter of culture with nature, art with ruins, to demonstrate the singular capacity of Galimberti to constantly open new horizons starting from multiple fragments.
Maurizio Galimberti (Como, Italy 1956) started collaborating with Polaroid Italia in 1991 and he still is official ambassador. He has produced renowned photography projects on urban architecture and landscape. His works are included in prestigious international collections.
