ANIMA–L is a project originating in the context of a pandemic that has directly affected all of us, but which has also stimulated the creativity of artists who, with remarkable awareness, have found in photography an advantageous medium. Such is the case of Carla Sutera Sardo who, in a moment of collective claustrophobia, responds to this forced hiatus with a powerful and effective work capable of interpreting the ancient relationship between man and nature with a contemporary twist. In an era of fragility, marked by a destructive attitude towards the ecosystem, Carla Sutera Sardo suggests the only possible way forward, urging reconciliation as the sole form of mutual care.
After her Law degree, Carla Sutera Sardo (Italy, 1983) moved to Madrid and decided to dedicate herself to photography. Since then, her talent has drawn the attention of numerous publications. She has also won several international awards, including the Sony World Photography Awards.
